VITA Celebrating 100 Years of Dental Business
The company that set the standard for tooth shade guides has special events, education, product line expansions, and contests planned as part of the milestone celebration.

The company best known for its tooth shade guide is celebrating 100 years of serving the dental industry.
VITA Zahnfabrik and VITA North America are celebrating the company’s 100-year anniversary, a significant milestone in the history of the business. The fourth-generation family company is known for its pioneering dental technologies and innovations, including setting the shade standard for the industry.
VITA pioneered the field of tooth shade determination with the development of the world-renowned VITA classical A1-D4®shade guide and its proprietary VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER®. With the company’s VITA Toothguide 3D-MASTER— the first and only system of its kind that covers the complete range of natural tooth shades—every natural tooth shade can be determined accurately and systematically.
“The 100th anniversary is a special experience and another milestone in VITA's history,” says Dr. Emanuel Rauter, Managing Partner of VITA Zahnfabrik, in a press release. “We take pride in our accomplishments and look forward to the future, where we will continue to perfect and actively shape prosthetics. VITA is conducting a variety of activities, events and educational formats as part of its centennial celebration, including 100-highlighted educational courses, 100-minute webinars, and a contest awarding prizes. A 100-year social media competition was launched featuring monthly winners and a grand prize winner. Participants can enter by creating a post about VITA and using the hashtag #VITA100years and tagging @VITA. The grand prize is an invitation to IDS2025 in Cologne, Germany, including travel and accommodations and 2-day tickets to the international dental show in March of 2025.

The company will also launch several product line extensions during this special year including: • VITA MFT® denture tooth line is now available in 16 VITA classical A1-D4® shades, 16 VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER® shades and 3 bleach shades.
• VITAPAN EXCELL® and VITAPAN LINGOFORM® are now available in all VITA classical A1-D4® and all VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER® shades.
• In honor of the 100-year anniversary, the company is also offering a limited-edition VITA VACUMAT® 6000M furnace in magenta.
